One more reason why the UN is an anachronism

In a 74-4 vote, with 54 nations abstaining, the UN has voted to condemn Israel for protecting herself from terrorist attacks.

According to UPI, the resolution calls for implementation of the Fourth Geneva Convention regarding the protection of civilians in times of conflict, calling for "concrete action ... to ensure respect by Israel" of the convention. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the US and NATO, just a few years ago, kill about 2,000 innocent Kosovar civilians in an attempt to punish Milosovich for allegedly "massacring" 2,000 innocent Kosavar civilians (which later turned out to be greatly exaggerated, Milosovich's number, not the US's)? I don't seem to remember hearing any fuss at all about those 2,000 Kosavar civilians. Also, it seems that from all accounts regarding Jenin, there were fewer civilians killed than in today's suicide bombing of an Israeli nightclub, the latest in Palestinian atrocities. But the UN seems to be fairly silent about all of those murders as well.

Even after they'd heard about the latest bombing by Palestinians, these 74 nations had the gall to criticize Israel for doing what each and every one of them would be doing in the same situation. It's time to put the sad mockery of the UN to pasture. Bury the corpse, it's beginning to really stink.
