Forget the Terrorists, We Need Protection from the Courts!!

In a monumental tribute to the stupidity of Liberalism the 9th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals has ruled the Pledge of Allegiance Unconstitutional. No, this isn't some fake parody story, it really happened.

It seems that a guy named Michael Newdow, whose daughter attends Elk Grove Public Schools in California, where the kids said the Pledge of Allegiance each morning, couldn't stand the idea of kids pledging their allegiance to America, especially if it meant saying "under God" so he sued the school in an effort to prevent all the children from saying it. See this is the way Atheist Liberals work. Simply telling his daughter to not say "under God" wasn't good enough. Simply telling her to not say the pledge of allegiance (which is her right) wasn't good enough. He's got to make a Federal case out of it to make sure none of the kids can say it, whether they want to or not. His desire for them to not say it, trumps anyone's desire (including the other kids and their parents) to say it. That's their idea of freedom, and guess what, Ole Mike found some idiot judges that agreed with him.

Now there's absolutely no way that this case will make it out of the Supreme Court (even given the idiotic rulings they've been making lately). This is nothing more than wading an issue through a bunch of ACLU card carrying, Clinton-hand-picked nitwits who made it on the Federal bench. The ACLU and their ilk will take this decision and quickly bully as many schools as they can into dropping the Pledge of Allegiance. The schools fearing legal costs will whimper and pretend they live in Cuba. The rights of the kids who want to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and parents, will be squashed beneath the jackboots of Liberal totalitarianism and we'll be that much closer to the Socialist Utopia of the People's Republic of Amerika. When the Supreme Court tosses this decision in the trash can where it belongs the damage will have been done. The idea of Patriotism and Faith as offensive concepts will grow that much more, until that final day when the thought police can declare religion to be too obscene to be displayed in public by anyone, and Patriotism to anything but the "Global Community" a thought crime.

So George Orwell was only a few decades off.
