Liberals trash the Constitution again
Illinois governor Rod R. Blagojevich, yesterday signed into law Illinois SB 3186. The new law adds "sexual orientation" to the current state laws against discrimination, but does not limit the application of the laws. As in the words of the bill's sponsor Sen. Carol Ronen when asked about the law being applied to churches, "If that is their goal, to discriminate against gay people, this law wouldn't allow them to do that. But I don't believe that's what the Catholic Church wants or stands for."
In other words, the state of Illinois has revoked the First Amendment right of freedom of religion for all Illinois citizens. And for some reason these dimwits think this won't be tossed into the smelly trash heap of history like most of their other unConstitutional efforts are.
Fortunately the Illinois Family Institute is on the ball and fighting the new law.
