The Philly Four
If you hadn't heard...eleven people were arrested for the crime of quoting Bible verses in Philadelphia in early October. Seven have been released (there was no video tape evidence of them quoting scriptures) and the remaining four are being charged with "criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime, reckless endangerment of another person, ethnic intimidation, riot, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct and obstructing highways". (You can see why releasing 7 while charging four for stuff they would have all done is a very transparent cover for what in reality is arresting people for the "crime" of quoting the Bible) They had a permit to gather, and were simply holding up signs and preaching with a bullhorn during a pro-homosexual march. Homosexuals surrounded them and started trouble, so of course the Christians were arrested.
World Net Daily is reporting that the Justice department will not likely care since many of their attorneys were there at the march as participants (on the homosexual side) and may have been the ones advising the police to arrest the Christians.
