Buying off Michael Schiavo

A pledge drive has been started to raise money to pay off Michael Schiavo. I applaud the sentiment, but must point out its fruitlessness.

First of all Michael Schiavo already pledged to donate all of the settlement money to charity if Terri's parents would agree to allowing her to be murdered (the real term to describe what the pro-death people falsely call euthanasia). Whether his motives were that he knew they would refuse or not, the fact remains he took the risk.

Also, on the site TerrisFight.org it states:

In 1992, Terri was awarded nearly one million dollars by a malpractice jury and an out-of-court malpractice settlement which was designated for future medical expenses. Of these funds, less than $50,000 remains today.

It goes on to point out the various expenditures that can be documented from the original settlement:

Atty Gwyneth Stanley
Atty Deborah Bushnell
Atty Steve Nilson
Atty Pacarek
Atty Richard Pearse (GAL)
Atty George Felos

1st Union/South Trust Bank

Michael Schiavo

Total  $545,852.34

It's obvious that Schiavo is willing to spend as much of the money as he's able to keep Terri from receiving any treatment and have her murdered if possible.

Also, Terri's parents recently offered to let Michael keep all of the money in return for his agreement to allow them to care for Terri. He turned them down.

It's not about the money. It's not about any so-called “living will” since had Terri really wanted it that badly she'd have put it in writing.

Evidence is surfacing that's showing that Terri's condition may well have been the result of an attack by Michael Schiavo. He's not wanting money -- he wants to stay out of prison.

As for Greer? Apparently he likes screwing up families.

Also, you need to read Barbara Simpson's excellent piece: The wonderful world of legal murder

It seems to me that the possible statement of a brain damaged woman 15+ years after an incident would not be a serious legal threat to anyone.

The real crime is happening right before our eyes as we stand witless and frozen.

Why not make the offer? If he doesn't take it, he doesn't take it. We will at least know that we tried -- what does that cost us?

Our pride?

You're assuming she's brain damaged. The woman in Kansas wasn't, even though it'd been assumed she was. If Terri Schiavo began speaking clearly and lucidly tomorrow and telling of the attack which put her where she is -- the outcry would be immediate, and Michael Schiavo would be arrested regardless of who is whose golfing buddy.

RELENTLESS IS THE KEY WORD. and call it murder, call all those who will not help in any way murderers. give this helpless woman some assistance, if feeding her keeps her alive, so be it regardless of what anyone says. LAW OF LIFE. WHAT WILL WAKE THIS NATION UP.

Michael Schiavo is a murderer and is so upset and wonders why people are saying that. Gee, I wonder why, he has taken away all of Terry's rights, her right to live, her right to medical care, and wants to have her immediately cremated to cover up evidence of what he has done to her to put her in the condition she is in. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, then it must be a duck...You are a murderer Michael.....deal with it. The govenment officials want to get involved with matters that are trivial and don't make a difference to anyone, but here we have a matter of a woman being murdered by her husband, Judge Greer, and George Felos and nobody wants to get involved because of being afraid of others delicate sensibilities....It is really sad that our justice system would let this happen....

Since Michael Schiavo will not allow Terri to have a proper burial and insist on cremating her , (was that cremation also her wishes also Michael ?) or just another way to control and cover up, when Michael does cremate Terri , I think Terri supporters should go to Michael and Jodi home on MARRIE CT CLEARWATER, FL (off of Enterprise) around the clock to mourn Terri forever and I hope the public will never let them live in peace. but remind them daily that the public will never forget that they murdered Terri. I also believe Jodi was part of this murder. Terri will have the last word after the autopsy .Terri go in peace and be with God

I think this situation concerning Terri Schiavo
is something that needs to be prayed about. There
seems to be an AWFUL LOT that is not being explained.
Someday things are going to come to light, that is going to very disturbing for a lot of people.
