Cogressional Medal of Honor update

It's official! Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith will be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

President Bush will present the Medal of Honor to Smith's wife, Birgit, and their children Jessica, 18, and David, 10, at a ceremony at the White House, possibly in March.

That they took a while to decide, to me, speaks more of the special status this medal represents, thus the more meaning behind it's being bestowed on Sgt. Smith. He was a very brave man who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom, and is well deserving of the honor.
