Like, what First Amendment?

FoxNews reports on a study done by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation which found:

“...when told of the exact text of the First Amendment, more than one in three high school students said it goes ‘too far’ in the rights it guarantees. Only half of the students said newspapers should be allowed to publish freely without government approval of stories.”

Apparently government schooled kids don't respect the First Amendment the way older generations do. I have an idea about how to illustrate it to them. Decide on a punishment, something annoying but not overly drastic, and ban the word “like” for one day. When they say the word, they're punished. By the end of the day the concept of government limiting speech will be driven home.
