More hoops to jump through

The NRA is reporting that Minnesota lawmakers are debating SF 781, a bill that would require background checks for hunting licenses. The idiotic thing about such a proposal is that in order to hunt, one must have a weapon, and to legally obtain a weapon, one must have the exact same background check the Minnesota legislature is proposing. As a prevention to crime the bill is nonsense. As another hoop for gun owners to jump through so they can be further harassed by anti-Second Amendment lawmakers, it works quite affectively.

The bill, according to the Minnesota Legislature's web site has currently been referred to the Crime Prevention and Public Safety Committee.
