Pick your fights carefully
Eighty-eight year-old grandfather Gerhard Brinkmann was visiting a grave in the north German town of Halberstadt when a mugger came up to him and demanded he hand over his money. It must have been a comical sight when Herr Brinkmann put up his fists and told the mugger to come closer if he wanted it. I bet the mugger even chuckled as he approached the old man. But what was really hilarious was when the former 1936 German lightweight boxing champion knocked out the 20-something would-be mugger.
Brinkmann said later, “He remained unconscious for a short while and I called the police, but he pulled himself up and fled before they got here. I might still be able to put up a good fight, but unfortunately I can't run like I used to.”
The mugger is still at large, but more than likely hiding in shame.
