California judge declares himself dictator

Four years after California voters passed Proposition 22, specifically banning same-sex "marriage" by a margin of 61-39 percent, Liberal judge Richard A. Kramer has legislated from the bench and tossed out the majority's vote, thereby proclaiming himself official dictator of California.

Judge Richard Kramer of San Francisco County's trial-level Superior Court likened the ban to laws requiring racial segregation in schools, and said there appears to be "no rational purpose" for denying marriage to gay couples.

The ruling came in response to lawsuits filed by the city of San Francisco and a dozen gay couples a year ago after the California Supreme Court halted a four-week same-sex marriage spree started by Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Activist judges in four states have legislated that homosexual marriages must be allowed, regardless of the legislature or the vote of the people

"It's outrageous that a court has overturned the will of the people ... and I think it underscores why we need a state and federal constitutional amendment to protect the will of the people -- and most importantly protect marriage," Liberty Counsel's Mathew Staver told Baptist Press.

Interesting that it is typically the Democrats that support such actions that make a mockery of the democratic process.
