Raven Furbert update

Raven is the girl that's been fighting to wear the red, white and blue necklace she made to honor her uncle in Iraq. Her school has deemed red, white and blue to be gang colors.

Raven will be on Court TV tomorrow March 4th at 5pm. I don't know what time zone that is, though.

Sorry, this was switched because of the Robert Blake Closing Arguments that were televised live. She will be on next Thursday or Friday at 5pm EST on Catherine Crier Live. I will update on exact date. Decision was made late on Friday morning. Will keep you posted.

However, the Board of Education on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 sent out a press release to announce that they were having an Army National Guard Recruiter come and speak with the Board of Education and Schenectady City School District Meeting. I am sure that they probably had alot of people interested in enlisting. Seems like damage control. Especially when Dr. Falco, the Superintendent of Schools announced that the " Rights of a few must be sacrificed to benefit the many" and "it is in the interest of the educational process" and " attack our policy not out patriotism". WNYT in Albany, contacted us and met us there. The recruiter never mentioned anything on this subject.

Thank you again, and I will keep you posted.
