Congress and pedophiles for choice play chess

From LifeNews:

The House of Representatives passed a bill on Wednesday protecting state statutes in more than two dozen states that requires abortion businesses to obtain either the consent or notification of a parent before performing an abortion on a teenage girl.

The House passed the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (H.R. 748) by a very strongly bipartisan 270-157 vote.

About half of the states in the U.S. have either parental notification or consent laws, which have helped reduced teen abortions by as much as 30 percent. However, abortion advocates or others often taken minor teens across state lines to avoid such laws and ensure the teenager has an abortion without her parents' knowledge or input.

Florida Republican Rep Ileana Ros-Lehtinen's legislation would make it a federal crime to take a minor teen to another state for abortions that violate her home state's parental involvement laws.

Ironically while Florida has twice tried to pass laws requiring parental consent for abortions, the brain-dead Florida Supreme Court has overturned them each time, citing “privacy” rights. The Florida Supreme Kooks obviously feel pedophiles have a right to privately molest children.

Kudos to Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen for at least bring some sane laws to the federal level.

Meanwhile...

In Florida, the ACLU is defending a thirteen-year-old's “right” to murder the baby she's carrying. The child is in state custody, and requested an abortion, which was refused until the courts could determine whether she was making an informed decision. The ACLU argues that the state has no right to interfere with the murder of the baby. If she's thirteen and pregnant, she's a molestation victim. Not one word about anyone trying to find out how she got pregnant in the first place (while in state custody). Child is raped, ACLU solution, murder another innocent child and ignore the real problem so lots of other children can be raped and murdered.

The ACLU is out of control and the people need to know about it.
