Kansas Board of Education debate Religion of Evolution
From the Wichita Eagle:
The State Board of Education on Wednesday sampled the evolution debate that will play out in more detail at as many as six days of hearings next month.
The board set aside an hour for a presentation on the latest drafts of proposed science standards, but the discussion stretched to more than three hours as board members questioned the speakers....
But the testimony at the hearings may be one-sided. The minority group has lined up 24 witnesses, while no one has yet agreed to represent the pro-evolution majority view -- partly because some mainstream scientists have called for a boycott.
That's right, the proper way to defend the scientific merits of the religion of Evolution is to shove your fingers in your ears and shout, “LA — LA — LA — LA — I CAN'T HEAR YOU!”
