Concealed carry saves life
Joyce Cordova had a restraining order against her ex-husband, Felix Vigil, but inspite of that, he followed her to the local San Mateo, New Mexico Wal-Mart and once inside attacked her with a knife, stabbing her. Fortunately for Mrs. Cordova Wal-Mart has never subscribed to the silly “no guns allowed” policy that so many businesses have. If they had, as I have warned repeatedly, Mrs. Cordova would have died at the hands of her ex-husband.
Instead 72-year old Due Moore, who carried a licensed, concealed gun, shot and killed Felix Vigil before he could kill hi ex-wife. Witnesses says there were somewhere around three shots. They weren't sure because your average Wal-Mart customer has the tendency to run for cover when they hear gun shots, rather than hang around and count exactly how many go off.
Joyce Cordova is in critical but stable condition at the University of New Mexico Hospital. Local police have no intention of charging Due Moore with any crime.
