Guns and Alzheimer's
From the Wisconsin Daily Press...
Hunting season brings concerns for gun safety in the hands of persons with Alzheimer's disease. While it may seem for some that hunting and handling guns has been a lifelong skill, the complex mental skills required by the safe handling of guns are usually lost early in the process of dementia.
I'm only going to quote that much because the rest is just as stupid as that.
Got a relative with Alzheimer's who likes to hunt, likes guns, and feels unsafe without them? Do what my dad did when my grandfather got Alzheimer's—take away all the guns but one, and remove the firing pin from it. Problem solved.
