Yes, I removed BlogAds

No, it wasn't because I didn't want them competing with BlogAdSwap (which I own). It's because it simply took too much room for too little money. Actually I haven't seen a penny of the money paid for the ads. I have to get $75 before they'll send me any. At the rate I was going that would be sometime during the commissioning ceremony of the Federation Starship Enterprise [...C]. I've been burned too many time by affiliate programs that never seem to pay off, or when they finally do start to pay off, the rules get changed so they pay less and less and less. I've lost track of how much money different online businesses owe me because I hadn't met the minimum for payout. One ad company, the notorious, dishonest, sleazy ValueClick, actually cancelled my account, still owing me twenty some odd dollars, with no effort whatsoever to pay. Now, that's not to say BlogAds is being underhanded, it's just that I'm tired of my left hand column being taken up by ads that I'm not seeing any money for. Meanwhile BlogAdSwap is taking off like a rocket. And I'm working hard to make sure everyone involved is taken care of and happy. So BlogAds simply don't make sense anymore.

I want to thank Stop the ACLU and  Info Theory for advertising. Both are great blogs.
