Moslems murder thousands, talk radio blamed for public's reaction

A leading U.S. Islamic lobby group blames a purported rise in anti-Muslim harassment, violence and discriminatory treatment on the Internet and talk radio. 

In its annual report, the Council on American-Islamic Relations claims anti-Muslim incidents leaped 30 percent in 2005 from the previous year. 

National spokesman Ibrahim Hooper told reporters the difference is due to "a rise in anti-Muslim rhetoric fed by the Internet and also on talk radio." 

"You can't turn on the radio without hearing negative, bigoted comments about Islam," Hooper said.

I would say given the time we've allowed Moslems to distance themselves from the violence committed by extremists, time which they wasted either being silent or defending the extremists, American's have shown tremendous restraint. 

If anyone is to blame for a rise in anti-Moslem harassment it would be CAIR. 

They are the one's who have continued to act as if acts of terrorism by Moslems are trivial while the legitimate complaints about that terrorism are racism.

CAIR is a spin-off of the Islamic Association for Palestine, identified by two former FBI counterterrorism chiefs as a "front group" for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. Several CAIR leaders have been convicted on terror-related charges.

...CAIR's chairman of the board, Omar Ahmad, was cited by a California newspaper in 1998 declaring the Quran should be America's highest authority. 

He also was reported to have said Islam is not in America to be equal to any other religion but to be dominant. 

CAIR's chief spokesman, Ibrahim Hooper, indicated in a 1993 interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he wants to see the United States become a Muslim country.

So far the worst anti-Moslem acts in America are dwarfed by the almost daily outrages committed by Moslems against non-Moslems in foreign countries. So if they were really interested in improving American-Islamic relations, you'd think they'd focus at least a little attention on the offenses Moslems commit, rather than whining about trivialities non-Moslems commit against Moslems.

For example, while Moslems went on a murdering spree over a rumor than someone had flushed a Koran (later proven to be untrue), Moslems who held seige the Church of the Nativity used pages from the Bibles there as toilet paper.

While CAIR complains of Moslems being offended by the "implication" of guilt in profiling, Moslems just yesterday murdered a 65-year-old nun in Somalia to demonstrate their outrage at the Pope implying that Islam is violent.

Or as Michelle Malkin puts it...

The difference between us and them...is that when we watch them insult the Pope with stupid, violent animated cartoons...we don't go burning down their mosques and shooting their imams and incinerating their children and slicing their throats and repeatedly smacking the world over the head with a "Christianity Is Peace" placard dripping in blood.

Oh, and what really, REALLY ticks me off is that we are accepting the demand from Moslems that we pretend they are no more violent than any other religion, or they'll murder us in horrible ways.  That may work in some goofy sit-com, but why are we tolerating it in real life?!?
