The Oklahoma State Quarter

Don Singleton links to the site to vote for the Olahoma State Quarter. Am I just a grump or are all five of the "finalists" pretty sucky? It seems they took all of three minute per design to think something up. The best looking one has the state biard and whatever flower the idiots chose who decided to chance the state flower from the Misteltoe. I don't know what they were thinking when they did that, but our ligislature has been acting like a bunch of lobotomized chimps lately. I hear that during the recent school funding crisis they spent two hours debating one whether the Dutch Oven should be made the official state cooking pot.

I do have to admit that compared to those that didn't make the final cut, the five finalists are definitely the best of the lot. But I have to wonder with the variety of artistic talent in the state, why we wind up with five designs that look like they were done by fourth graders.
