How can people so stupid be considered educators?

From the South Florida Sun-Sentinel...

The curriculum of the Ben Gamla Charter School in Hollywood was unanimously approved by the Broward School Board on Tuesday, ending debate over whether Hebrew can be taught without also promoting a religion. At the center of the debate: The taxpayer-funded school's curriculum.

The dispute came to a head last month when the School Board ordered the kindergarten through eighth grade school to temporarily stop teaching Hebrew out of concern the charter school would be in violation of the federally established separation between religion and government.

Seriously, how can people be that stupid? I'm not Jewish, but I have a complete Hebrew language course for children so my kids can learn Hebrew. I've been through the course myself, and while there are plenty of moral lessons in it, there's no real religious instruction. And this was published by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, and religious organization. So how would the curriculum this school be using have any more religious content? This is yet another example of the intolerance toward religion that permeates the educational industry in this nation. An intolerance that itself encourages an unconstitutional attitude and behavior against religion.

Well, I can't think of another sound reason to study Hebrew with taxpayer's money but studying religion.
I'm a taxpayer.
I think all religions are essentially evil and promote some kind of hate.
I'm OK with tolerating everyone's beliefs, being them God, Allah, Zeus or Spiderman, but I refuse to fund them.

The kind of ignorance and intolerance that would lead one to believe that Hebrew exists solely as a function of religion is exactly why schools exist in the first place. Unfortunately the taxpayers were severely cheated when it comes to your education, Daniel.

Odd that you and other Atheists/Agnostics have no problem forcing the rest of us to fund the religion of Evolution and Humanism.

You might want to read Jewish newspapers. Just as you might want to learn Arabic to read newspapers from Arab countries without having to worship Allah.

When I was in High School I took Latin, and this was when the Catholic church still had a Latin mass. I am not Catholic, and was not exposed to any religious material in Latin class, other than the fact that Caesar was considered a god.

And Daniel, Christ taught love, not hate.

Danny...
Seriously when were you appointed as an intellectual and an expert in religion? The hypocrisy that you practice on this blog as well as your over inflated concept of self-worth is exactly the type of behavior that drives people away from God. Yes, people have view points that differ from your own. No, they are not ignorant or a liberal or ignorant liberals. They are simply people with viewpoints that diverge from your own. You are as intolerant as those you rant about being intolerant on your own blog.

That's just my two cents, but the personal attacks that you post in response to comments are uncalled for and against Biblical principle.

Matthew 7:1-5
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
