Chosen for greatness
Sarah, eight months pregnant, was at a conference in Texas when she developed some problems. She and her husband, Tony, headed back to Alaska, while Sarah experience contraction all the way. Over a month early Sarah and Tony had known earlier that their new baby boy has Down's Syndrome. Sarah responded later saying, she was sad at first but they now feel blessed that God chose them.
Sarah and her husband will need your prayers. Sarah plans to not take maternity leave, since she has the opportunity to take her new son, Trig Paxson Van Palin, to work with her.
Sarah, is of course, Sarah Palin, the current governor of Alaska.
The family released the following statement:
"Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed."
Apparently not all politicians are alike, some actually have a tremendous amount of character, courage and integrity.
