Obama campaign craps on fallen police
From Oregon's Fox 12...
Portland police officers have asked for an apology after they said organizers of a Barack Obama rally set up Porta-Potties on a memorial honoring fallen officers....
"There was plenty of room elsewhere so space wasn't an issue," [Officer Thomas] Brennan [a seven-year veteran with the Portland Police Bureau] said. "So someone used some really poor decision making, whoever elected to put them there. I mean, it's somewhat hallowed ground, I guess you could call it."
Here's what the memorial looks like without porta-potties and Obama fans (click on the image for a larger version). Perhaps they simply thought it was nothing more than a nicely manicured open rotunda with a flag in the middle--a flag at half-mast.
One would have to wonder though how Obama's people missed the rather large plaque that designated the area as a memorial "To
commemorate those Portland Police Officers who gave their lives In the performance of their official duties." But how did they miss the commemorative
bricks that lined the wall, placed to honor specific police officers, killed in the line of duty.
Or maybe this was yet another subtle message from the Obama campaign of their true feeling for those who sacrifice so much for our freedom and safety.
