Latino workers die at higher rates than other laborers, with 1 in 3 of these deaths occurring in the construction industry, a government study reported Thursday.

Latinos tend to hold more high-risk jobs than other ethnic groups, but language and literacy barriers and poor training and supervision may also be factors, researchers said. The leading causes of death in recent years have been falls and highway-related accidents.

Could it have anything to do with the number of Latinos that are here illegally, who therefore have bosses, already in violation of the law, who do not consider other laws regarding employee safety worth following? Lax immigration enforcement leads to a slave class. But that's okay as long as Liberals can get cheap domestic help, right?

Another unfortunate side effect of this attitude is that many illegals, who could come here legally given only a little effort, don't bother. they just stay illegal, and remain at the mercy of disreputable employers.
