Democrats thrilled about hurricane devastation

From RedState...

On a plane from Denver to Charlotte following the Democrats' convention, I found myself seated behind former National Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Don Fowler and Congressman John Spratt of South Carolina. Their conversation was interesting to say the least.

For example, they made fun of Sarah Palin for several minutes, Fowler calling her "Dan Quayle" on steroids and Spratt creatively describing her as "just terrible." They both agreed that, "Other than the simple fact that she's a female," she has nothing to offer.

Then there was this gem of a moment from Fowler:

To put some perspective on this, in 2006 FoxNews reported...

Nearly six months after Hurricane Katrina, more than 1,300 bodies have been found, but the real death toll is clearly higher. How much higher, no one can say with any certainty.

...and two leading Democrats find this funny.

He doesn't find the hurricane funny, he finds the timing funny. Three years ago, Republican mismanagement made a bad situation worse than it had to be. Possibly thousands died because of it. Now, a new hurricane is possibly interrupting the RNC.

Incidentally, I doubt that anybody that's not as rabid a republican as you already is going to believe this kind of sensationalism.
