America's first Black president wants to bring back slavery!

For more than 4 years the United States was torn apart as we struggled over whether we would allow slavery. The anti-slavery side won and the 13th Amendment was added to the US Constitution...

Section 1.
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Now over 140 years later America has elected a Black president and before he has even begun his administration he announces a plan to gut the 13th Amendment and bring back involuntary servitude...

The official website of President-Elect Barack Obama, Change.gov, originally announced that Obama would "require" all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs;....

"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year," the site announced....

Following the furor raised by bloggers, however, the website's wording was changed....

Elsewhere on the Change.gov site, however, it still describes the plan under the heading, "Require 100 hours of service in college."

Requiring kids to volunteer for hand-picked, Liberal "community" organizations is involuntary servitude. There's no bones about it. At least when Clinton wasted taxpayer money on his AmeriCorp boondoggle it was voluntary. Obama want's to make it compulsory, which means he has to gut the Constitution to do it.

Amazing.
