Thank you for exposing Libertarianism, an ugly facet of Capitalism once again.

What happened in PA is an excellent example of what "for profit" institutions do TO Americans what the government should be doing for them.

If you think this is bad, did you know the health "insurance" industry is doing things like this every day to Americans?

The only reason corporations want to get into these sectors is there is a profit to be made.

Is this really better for society?

Pennsylvania had a lot of kids in jail.

At some point a wise libertarian (aka capitalist) figured out that this was
not making anyone money. The obvious answer came to him: PRIVATIZE IT!

This was an especially good idea to the government because if it is "for profit"
it must be more efficient!

The problem was that each prisoner became worth $x dollars to a corporation
instead of costing society $y dollars.

Since there was a profit motive to send kids to jail the system had money to pay the judges!
