MSNBC (il)logic
David Letterman calls Sarah Palin slutty and says her daughter had sex with a baseball player during a game.
MSNBC wonders: “it's comedy…. Why did she take such offense? …. Why was she so offended”
John Zeigler responds: “[Sarah Palin] gave an incredibly classy answer, showing far more class than clearly most people on this network have.”
…to which MSNBC talking head Contessa Brewer gets offended, has a cow and shuts of Zeigler’s mic.
So, being called slutty is nothing to be offended at, but implying that Palin has more class than you is?
Oh, and Zeigler missed a great comeback. Here’s a snippet from the transcript, my suggested dialogue in red…
ZIEGLER: Well, Contessa, since you're a female, you might be better expert on whether or not it's appropriate to call a public figure "slutty" with, for no apparent reason, AND joke about her daughter being knocked-up in the middle of Yankee Stadium while she's at the game...
BREWER: Yeah, you know, it's actually happened...
ZIEGLER: How would you feel about that, Contessa?
BREWER: John, it's actually happened to me, and I'm fine, I'm still here, I'm...
ZIEGLER: Really? You got knocked up by Alex Rodriguez during a Yankees game?!? I had no idea. That would explain your reaction then, I guess.
