Because the US Constitution was written by avid Individualists it has presented a great hurdle to Collectivists. One method they use to bypass this hurdle is to demand that the Constitution be “interpreted” in light of modern culture while ignoring its original meaning. Taken to its logical conclusion that would mean every word, phrase and sentence in the Constitution could be “interpreted” to mean absolutely anything any Collectivist judge decided it means at the moment.
